We are often asked about ticks. Ticks are a serious concern across much of the US and we understand why this question matters. Our research to date has focused on mosquitoes and biting insects, and we are not yet in a position to make a verified claim about tick protection. We would rather be honest about what we know than overstate what the product does. If that changes as our research develops, we will say so.

Yes — Vanilla Mozi is safe for babies’ faces. The formula is pesticide-free, DEET-free, and free from parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals and synthetic fragrances. It is built around organic oils and butters — the same nourishing ingredients you would find in premium natural skincare — and is gentle enough for the most sensitive skin, including newborns.

As with any new product applied to young or sensitive skin, we recommend a small patch test before first full application. Apply a small amount to an inconspicuous area — the side of the neck works well — and allow 24 hours before proceeding to full use.

Yes. Vanilla Mozi was formulated with sensitive skin in mind from the very beginning. Free from DEET, pesticides, parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals and synthetic fragrances, the formula is built around organic botanical oils and butters that nourish and soothe. Customers with sensitive skin consistently tell us Vanilla Mozi is the first product of its kind they have been able to use comfortably. We recommend a patch test for first-time use on very sensitive skin or those with known allergies.

Vanilla Mozi is pesticide-free and DEET-free, formulated with organic botanical ingredients — free from parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals and synthetic fragrances. Many of our customers use it throughout pregnancy as their preferred alternative to DEET-based repellents. As with any new skincare product during pregnancy, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider if you have specific concerns. Apply Vanilla Mozi generously to all exposed skin approximately 10 minutes before heading outdoors. This allows the Vanilla Mozi Proprietary Blend to fully absorb and activate — your scent signature transforms and mosquitoes and insects simply don’t register you as a host.

If you are also using sunscreen, apply your SPF first and allow it to absorb fully before applying Vanilla Mozi as your final step. The protection works by creating a complete botanical veil — any area of exposed skin left uncovered breaks the effect, so apply generously to every exposed area including the face, neck, ears and feet.

Approximately two hours per application under normal conditions. Reapply after swimming, heavy perspiration or towelling dry — water contact disrupts the botanical veil, and reapplication restores it immediately. For extended time outdoors, set a reminder to reapply every two hours for consistent protection.

Please note that Vanilla Mozi is not a sunscreen and provides no UV protection. Always use a separate SPF product for sun protection during daylight hours outdoors.

As the candle burns, it releases the Vanilla Mozi Proprietary Blend — pure vanilla and spearmint essential oils — into the air around your outdoor space, creating an ambient botanical environment that mosquitoes and insects find deeply unappealing. The cream creates a botanical veil on your skin; the candle creates one around your space. For the fullest protection experience, we recommend using both.

Light the candle approximately 30 minutes before spending time outdoors. Approximately 40 hours burn time. Natural soy wax, lead-free cotton wick — paraffin-free and toxin-free.
