We are often asked about ticks. Ticks are a serious concern across much of the US and we understand why this question matters. Our research to date has focused on mosquitoes and biting insects, and we are not yet in a position to make a verified claim about tick protection. Use as the final step in your routine — apply your SPF first, allow it to absorb fully, then apply Vanilla Mozi. The protection works by creating a complete botanical veil — any area of exposed skin left uncovered breaks the effect, so apply generously and ensure full coverage. Reapply every two hours, or immediately after swimming, heavy perspiration or towelling dry.

Approximately two hours per application under normal conditions. Reapply after swimming, heavy perspiration or towelling dry — water contact disrupts the botanical veil and reapplication restores it immediately. For extended time outdoors, set a reminder to reapply every two hours for consistent protection.

Yes — and we recommend it. Apply your SPF first and allow it to absorb fully before applying Vanilla Mozi as your final step. This ensures both products perform at their best. Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Vanilla Mozi has a shelf life of 24 months from manufacture. Once the foil seal is removed it will last for up to 24 months, as confirmed by the 24M symbol on the packaging. If you live in a warm climate, keeping it in the fridge will help maintain the texture — and it’s a lovely way to apply it on a warm evening. The vanilla fragrance may deepen slightly over time — this is completely natural and does not affect the product’s efficacy.
