The Calendula Morning Face Oil was built around organic ingredients chosen for their antioxidant richness, skin-nourishing properties and ability to support skin against the environmental stressors of daily life — without synthetic chemistry, without compromise.

Calendula — derived from the marigold flower and infused into organic olive oil — is one of the most celebrated botanicals in natural skincare. Rich in antioxidants and with well-documented anti-inflammatory properties, it soothes, supports and helps skin start the day calm. Vitamin E, organic and infused alongside the calendula, adds antioxidant protection and supports ongoing skin repair.

Red raspberry seed oil brings remarkable antioxidant depth — rich in polyphenols and vitamin E — alongside deep nourishment and skin conditioning. Long prized in botanical skincare for the exceptional antioxidant richness and natural protective qualities it contributes to the skin. Avocado oil, abundant in vitamins E and C, provides intense hydration and supports skin's natural resilience against oxidative stress.

Neroli — carried in a 3% jojoba base — ties the formula together. Jojoba's remarkable quality is that it closely mimics the skin's own natural sebum, making it one of the most compatible carrier oils for every skin type. Neroli itself brings antioxidants that support skin elasticity, together with a calming, stress-relieving quality that makes the morning application feel like more than skincare.

Q2. Are the oils suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. All Vanilla Mozi face and body oils are free from synthetic fragrances, parabens and SLS — formulated to be genuinely gentle on sensitive skin. If you have a known allergy to any specific botanical ingredient, please check the full ingredient list on the relevant product page before use.

Q3. Can I use face oil under makeup?
Yes — the Calendula Morning Face Oil is specifically suited as a pre-makeup base. Apply a few drops and allow to absorb fully before applying makeup, typically two to three minutes. The oil absorbs cleanly and does not leave a greasy base. The Honeysuckle Body Oil and Lavender Sunburn Face & Body Oil are not recommended as pre-makeup bases.

Q4. Where are the oils made?
All Vanilla Mozi face and body oils are handmade in small batches in Noosa, Queensland, Australia. Each batch is made fresh to ensure the potency and freshness of the botanical ingredients.

Q5. How long does a 25mL bottle last?
With regular daily use — two to four drops morning or evening — a 25mL bottle typically lasts two to three months. A little goes a long way with high-quality botanical face oils. The 100mL body and sunburn oils, used all over the body, will last approximately one to two months with regular use.

Q6. How do I apply the face oils?
Apply a few drops to clean fingertips and gently massage into the face, neck and décolletage. The Calendula Morning Face Oil is applied each morning before makeup. The Rose & Immortelle Night Face Oil and Men's Precious Face Oil are applied each night after cleansing. The Lavender Sunburn Face & Body Oil is applied to affected areas before bed — indoors only.

Q7. Can I use face oil if I have oily skin?
Yes. Botanical face oils work with your skin's natural sebum rather than against it — they do not make oily skin oilier. Jojoba oil in particular, present in the Calendula Morning Face Oil, closely mimics the skin's natural sebum and can actually help regulate oil production over time. If you are new to face oils and have oily skin, start with two drops and increase as your skin adjusts.

Q8. Do the oils contain any synthetic fragrance?
No. The scent in every Vanilla Mozi face and body oil comes entirely from the botanical ingredients themselves — the neroli in the Calendula Morning Face Oil, the pure rose and immortelle in the night oil, the honeysuckle in the body oil, the Australian lavender in the sunburn oil, and the basil and tangerine in the Men's Precious Face Oil. No synthetic fragrance is added to any product in the range.

Q9. How should I store the oils?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. The oils are packaged in glass bottles which protect the botanical ingredients from light degradation. Use within 12 months of opening.

Q10. Are the oils vegan?
Yes — all Vanilla Mozi face and body oils are fully vegan. They are also PETA-certified cruelty-free and B Corp certified.

Avocado Oil
Rich in vitamins E and C, avocado oil provides intense hydration and supports skin's natural resilience. Its antioxidant content helps defend against environmental stressors while its fatty acid profile deeply nourishes and conditions.

Red Raspberry Seed Oil
One of the most antioxidant-rich botanical oils available — high in polyphenols, vitamin E and essential fatty acids. Prized in botanical skincare for its exceptional antioxidant richness and the natural protective qualities it contributes to the skin.
