What we put in matters as much as what we leave out

Five organic oils and butters. A preservation system certified by ECOCERT Greenlife — meeting the COSMOS standard for natural and organic cosmetic formulation. And a Proprietary Blend of pure vanilla and spearmint essential oils that is both the active ingredient and the reason the product smells the way it does. Every ingredient chosen deliberately. The scent is the science

The Vanilla Mozi Proprietary Blend — a fusion of pure vanilla and spearmint essential oils — formulated by founder Lea-Anne Crawford in exactly the right concentration and combination to activate the biomimicry effect. This is not a fragrance added for appeal. The sweet vanilla and fresh spearmint you can smell is the science working — interacting with the carboxylic acids in human sweat at a molecular level, neutralising the human scent signature that attracts nature's uninvited guests, and creating a botanical veil around your skin.


You'll see it listed as 'Fragrance (Natural Vanilla Mozi Proprietary Blend)' on the ingredient panel — required for regulatory labelling purposes. It is not a synthetic fragrance. The scent is the science.

The difference is the skincare base

Conventional outdoor protection products compromise your skin. Vanilla Mozi was built to do the opposite. While every other product in this category asks you to tolerate what it does to your skin, our skincare base — five organic oils and butters — actively nourishes, conditions, and protects it. 🥥  Organic Coconut Oil. Cold-pressed and organic. Deeply nourishing, naturally antibacterial, and one of the most effective skin-softening oils available. A foundational ingredient chosen for both its skin benefits and its clean, ethical sourcing.

🌰  Organic Shea Butter. Rich, conditioning, and organic. Packed with fatty acids and vitamins that deeply hydrate and support the skin barrier. It gives the cream its luxurious, skin-loving texture.

🫒  Organic Olive Fruit Oil. Organic and rich in natural antioxidants. A time-honoured skin oil with genuine nourishing properties — keeping skin soft, hydrated, and protected against environmental stressors.

🥑  Organic Avocado Oil. Organic. Anti-inflammatory, deeply penetrating, and rich in vitamins A, D, and E. Helps skin retain hydration and supports protection against free radicals — particularly valuable for sensitive or mature skin.

🌾  Castor Seed Oil. A classic skin conditioner that adds body to the cream formula and helps retain the Vanilla Mozi Proprietary Blend on the skin for longer — supporting the duration of the biomimicry effect.

🍃  Organic Glycerin. Organic and plant-derived. A humectant that draws moisture from the air into the skin and locks it in — supporting your skin barrier from the first application.

✨  Vitamin E (Tocopherol). A natural antioxidant that supports overall skin health and helps protect against environmental stressors — working in concert with the oils and butters to support long-term skin condition with every use.

Every ingredient earns its place

A great formula is more than its hero ingredients. These are the components that give the cream its texture, stability, and consistency — each one chosen to be plant-derived and palm oil-free wherever possible. Over twenty years of formulation and refinement, every ingredient in this list has been questioned, tested, and kept only because it met our standard. Nothing is here for convenience. Everything has a reason.

💧 Purified Water (Aqua) The foundation of the formula. Purified and clean — the base into which every other ingredient is carefully emulsified.

🌱 Glyceryl Stearate SE A vegan, palm oil-free emulsifier derived from plant-based glycerin and stearic acid. Its role is to bind the water and oil phases of the cream together, creating a stable, smooth formula that applies evenly and absorbs well.

🌸 Behenyl Alcohol A fatty alcohol derived from plant-based oils — most commonly rapeseed or coconut. Despite the name, nothing like the alcohol in an astringent or hand sanitiser. It acts as an emollient and thickener, giving the cream a smooth, conditioning feel without any drying effect.

🌿 Glyceryl Stearate Citrate A plant-based, palm oil-free emollient derived from glycerin and citric acid. Works alongside Glyceryl Stearate SE to create a stable emulsion while adding a soft, protective feel to the skin.

🍬 Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate A vegan, sugar-derived ingredient that gives the cream its smooth, non-greasy texture — conditioning without heaviness.

🌿 Xanthan Gum A natural, fermentation-derived ingredient that gives the cream its body and consistency — ensuring the formula maintains an even, stable texture from the first use to the last.

⚖️ Sodium Hydroxide Used in very small amounts to balance the pH of the formula — ensuring the cream is perfectly skin-compatible and comfortable on contact. A standard and safe cosmetic pH adjuster present in many premium skincare products.

🌾 Sodium Phytate A natural chelating agent derived from rice and other plant sources. Helps maintain the stability and integrity of the formula over time, supporting the product's 24-month shelf life.

Even the preservatives are clean

Most brands don't talk about their preservatives. We think that's exactly the wrong approach. What preserves our product touches your skin every single time you apply it — so that decision deserved the same rigour as every other ingredient in the formula.

Levulinic Acid, Benzoic Acid, and Sorbic Acid — a plant-derived, broad-spectrum preservative system that protects the formula against bacteria and fungi across its full 24-month shelf life. All three are naturally occurring in plants, and this combination is approved by ECOCERT Greenlife under the COSMOS standard — the internationally recognised benchmark for natural and organic cosmetic formulation.

We didn't choose the easiest preservation system. We chose the best one.

What You Won't Find In Here

We think what's left out of a formula is just as important as what goes in. No DEET. No parabens. No phthalates. No petrochemicals. No synthetic fragrances. No harsh pesticides. Palm oil-free.

No compromises. Lea-Anne Crawford handcrafts every product in small batches in Noosa, Queensland — the same hands, the same standards, the same founding commitment. Every formula follows the same minimalist philosophy: choose the finest possible ingredients, then stop.

The Face Oils. Built around apricot kernel oil — chosen because it closely mimics the skin's own natural sebum, absorbing effortlessly across every skin type. The botanicals it carries are chosen with equal care. Pure rose absolute and immortelle absolute in the night oil — it takes four to five tonnes of hand-harvested rose petals to produce a single litre of pure rose absolute. Organic calendula in the morning oil. Neroli, distilled from bitter orange blossom, for its antioxidant properties and genuinely beautiful calming scent.

The Precious Skin Balm. Five organic ingredients — shea butter, coconut oil, cocoa butter, calendula infused olive oil, and candelilla wax. Plant-derived, fully vegan, free from petroleum derivatives. Safe for babies from birth. Safe for breastfeeding mothers. Face oils and balm are packaged in glass — please recycle.

The Coco Soaps. Available on the Australian site — cold processed on a base of organic coconut oil and cocoa butter, cured for a minimum of four weeks. Each bar is built around a single botanical signature — Queensland red clay and patchouli, ylang ylang and dried calendula petals, activated charcoal with lavender and rosemary, or New Zealand volcanic ash with basil and tangerine. No synthetic fragrance. No palm oil. No SLS.
