Three ingredients. Two of them among the most precious beauty flower oils on earth.
The Immortelle & Rose Night Face Oil doesn't ask you to take its quality on faith. It asks you to understand what's inside it — and once you do, the price becomes the least surprising thing about it.
Gently massage into your face, neck and décolletage after cleansing at night. The well known beauty flower oils — rose absolute and immortelle absolute — will infuse into your skin while you sleep.
The science of absolute oils
Most essential oils are extracted through steam distillation — a process that, while effective, uses heat that can alter or diminish the most delicate aromatic and active compounds in a botanical ingredient. Absolute oils are different. They are extracted through cold solvent extraction — a slower, more complex, more expensive process that captures the full aromatic and active profile of the plant with remarkable fidelity.
The result is an oil that is richer, more concentrated and more complex than its steam-distilled equivalent. You will find absolute oils at the heart of the world's great perfumes. They are more expensive than essential oils because the process demands it, and because the yield is extraordinarily small.
Rose absolute is the most celebrated example. It takes four to five tonnes of hand-harvested rose petals to produce a single litre of pure rose absolute. That yield — and that process — is why genuine rose absolute commands the price it does, and why products that claim to contain rose but carry a modest price tag are worth reading the label on very carefully.
Immortelle absolute — distilled from the everlasting flower, Helichrysum italicum, used since ancient Greek times — is equally rare and equally potent. Rich in antioxidants, it has a well-documented capacity to promote circulation and stimulate the regeneration of new skin cells, supporting the skin's natural renewal process while you sleep.
These are not supporting cast ingredients. They are the product.
What happens while you sleep
Night is when the skin does its most important work. Cortisol drops, cellular repair accelerates, and the skin becomes more receptive to nourishment than at any point during the day. A genuinely effective night face oil works with that biology — delivering its active botanicals at exactly the moment the skin is best placed to receive them.
Rose absolute has been used in botanical skincare for centuries for good reason. Its anti-inflammatory properties help calm and repair; its antioxidant richness supports the skin against oxidative stress; and its capacity to support the appearance of fine lines and skin texture makes it one of the most valued ingredients in natural anti-ageing formulation.
Immortelle absolute works alongside rose to stimulate circulation and promote new cell regeneration, making the skin firmer, more elastic and more luminous over time. Apricot kernel oil carries both absolutes into the skin — light, non-greasy and rapidly absorbed, rich in vitamins A and E and one of nature's most skin-compatible carrier oils.

FAQs
Q1. Are the Vanilla Mozi face and body oils organic?
The key botanical ingredients in our face and body oils are organic where noted on each product label and page. All oils are formulated with premium natural and botanical ingredients — free from synthetic fragrances, parabens, SLS and petrochemicals. Full ingredient lists are available on each product page so you can read exactly what's in every bottle.
Q2. Are the oils suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. All Vanilla Mozi face and body oils are free from synthetic fragrances, parabens and SLS — formulated to be genuinely gentle on sensitive skin. If you have a known allergy to any specific botanical ingredient, please check the full ingredient list on the relevant product page before use.
Q3. Can I use face oil under makeup?
Yes — the Calendula Morning Face Oil is specifically suited as a pre-makeup base. Apply a few drops and allow to absorb fully before applying makeup, typically two to three minutes. The oil absorbs cleanly and does not leave a greasy base. The Honeysuckle Precious Body Oil and Lavender Sunburn Face & Body Oil are not recommended as pre-makeup bases.
Q4. Where are the oils made?
All Vanilla Mozi face and body oils are handmade in small batches in Noosa, Queensland, Australia. Each batch is made fresh to ensure the potency and freshness of the botanical ingredients.
Q5. How long does a 25mL bottle last?
With regular daily use — two to four drops morning or evening — a 25mL bottle typically lasts two to three months. A little goes a long way with high-quality botanical face oils. The 100mL body and sunburn oils, used all over the body, will last approximately one to two months with regular use.
Q6. How do I apply the face oils?
Apply a few drops to clean fingertips and gently massage into the face, neck and décolletage. The Calendula Morning Face Oil is applied each morning before makeup. The Immortelle & Rose Night Face Oil and Men's Precious Face Oil are applied each night after cleansing. The Lavender Sunburn Face & Body Oil is applied to affected areas before bed — indoors only.
Q7. Can I use face oil if I have oily skin?
Yes. Botanical face oils work with your skin's natural sebum rather than against it — they do not make oily skin oilier. Jojoba oil in particular, present in the Calendula Morning Face Oil, closely mimics the skin's natural sebum and can actually help regulate oil production over time. If you are new to face oils and have oily skin, start with two drops and increase as your skin adjusts.
Q8. Do the oils contain any synthetic fragrance?
No. The scent in every Vanilla Mozi face and body oil comes entirely from the botanical ingredients themselves — the neroli in the Calendula Morning Face Oil, the pure rose and immortelle in the night oil, the honeysuckle in the body oil, the Australian lavender in the sunburn oil, and the basil and tangerine in the Men's Precious Face Oil. No synthetic fragrance is added to any product in the range.
Q9. How should I store the oils?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. The oils are packaged in glass bottles which protect the botanical ingredients from light degradation. Use within 12 months of opening.
Q10. Are the oils vegan?
Yes — all Vanilla Mozi face and body oils are fully vegan. They are also PETA-certified cruelty-free and B Corp certified.
Q11. Why is the Immortelle & Rose Night Face Oil priced higher than the other oils?
The price reflects one thing: the extraordinary cost of genuine rose absolute and immortelle absolute. It takes four to five tonnes of hand-harvested rose petals to produce a single litre of pure rose absolute — making it one of the most expensive botanical ingredients in the world. Immortelle absolute is equally rare and equally potent. Both are extracted through cold solvent extraction rather than steam distillation — a slower, more expensive process that preserves the full active and aromatic complexity of the plant. There are only three ingredients in this bottle. Two of them are among the most precious botanical oils on earth. The price reflects that honestly and nothing more.
Q12. What is an absolute oil and how is it different from an essential oil?
Most essential oils are extracted through steam distillation — a process that uses heat, which can alter or diminish the most delicate aromatic and active compounds in a botanical ingredient. Absolute oils are extracted through cold solvent extraction — a slower, more complex process that captures the full aromatic and active profile of the plant with remarkable fidelity. The result is an oil that is richer, more concentrated and more complex than its steam-distilled equivalent. Absolute oils are at the heart of the world's great perfumes. They are more expensive because the process demands it — and because the yield is extraordinarily small.
Q13. Is this oil suitable for anti-ageing?
Rose absolute has well-documented properties that support the appearance of fine lines and skin texture, and immortelle absolute is known for its capacity to promote circulation and stimulate new cell regeneration. The Immortelle & Rose Night Face Oil is formulated as a genuinely premium overnight botanical treatment for skin that benefits from this kind of targeted nourishment. We let the ingredients speak — and they do.
Q14. Why does the oil have a golden colour?
Rose absolute imparts a natural warm golden tone to the oil. This is the colour of pure rose — not an additive, not a dye. It may vary slightly between small batches, which is the nature of a genuine botanical absolute and a confirmation of its authenticity.
Q15. Is it suitable for all skin types?
Yes — suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin. Apply after cleansing each night and gently massage into the face, neck and décolletage. The well known beauty flower oils will infuse into your skin while you sleep.
Ingredients
The formula — three ingredients. Every one deliberate.
Apricot Kernel Oil
Light, non-greasy and rapidly absorbed — one of nature's most skin-compatible carrier oils. Rich in vitamins A and E, apricot kernel oil nourishes, protects and supports skin elasticity without clogging pores, making it the ideal vehicle for two precious absolute oils.
Immortelle Absolute (Helichrysum italicum)
Distilled from the everlasting flower and used in botanical medicine since ancient Greek times. Antioxidant-rich with a well-documented capacity to stimulate circulation and promote the regeneration of new skin cells. Extracted through cold solvent extraction — richer and more potent than steam-distilled alternatives.
Rose Absolute (Rosa damascena)
The most precious ingredient in the Vanilla Mozi range. It takes four to five tonnes of hand-harvested rose petals to produce a single litre of pure rose absolute. Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties support skin repair and help soften the appearance of fine lines. The scent — true rose, not synthetic approximation — is deeply floral, calming and genuinely beautiful.
